DAY BY DAY ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha/Moshi

Arrival and transfer to your hotel.
Pre-climb briefing and gear check.
Overnight in Arusha/Moshi.

Day 2: Machame Gate to Machame Camp

Elevation: 1,640m to 2,835m.
Hiking Time: 5-7 hours.
Overnight at Machame Camp.

Day 3: Machame Camp to Shira Camp

Elevation: 2,835m to 3,750m.
Hiking Time: 4-6 hours.
Overnight at Shira Camp.

Day 4: Shira Camp to Barranco Camp

Elevation: 3,750m to 3,900m
Hiking Time: 5-7 hours.
Overnight at Barranco Camp.

Day 5: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Elevation: 3,900m to 4,035m.
Hiking Time: 4-5 hours.
Overnight at Karanga Camp.

Day 6: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

Elevation: 4,035m to 4,640m.
Hiking Time: 3-4 hours.
Overnight at Barafu Camp.

Day 7: Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak, then to Mweka Camp

Elevation: 4,640m to 5,895m (Uhuru Peak), then down to 3,080m.
Hiking Time: 11-15 hours.
Overnight at Mweka Camp.

Day 8: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate

Elevation: 3,080m to 1,640m.
Hiking Time: 3-5 hours.
Transfer back to your hotel.

Day 9: Departure

Transfer to the airport for your departure flight.

Transfers to and from Kilimanjaro Airport.
